DAUWIN®-Technical Specifications
DAUWIN® conducts continuous quality controls at all stages of the production, from construction to installation, while we ensure the high quality of the imported products by continuously conducting checks on the technical specifications of the products delivered.
To maintain the high quality of wooden frames imported by DAUWIN®, wood is stored in special rooms with adjustable humidity and temperature (the wood to be processed is stored at 10-12 degrees Celsius), before starting the processing and construction of the frames. By preparing the storage area, the properties of the wood are enhanced so it can endure under the most extreme weather conditions.
Maintenance and Cleaning
DAUWIN® wooden frames do not require maintenance in the classic way of rubbing and painting. The maintenance liquid of SIGMA (Sikkens Special Cleaner) provided with the paints must be applied every 1-2 years on the outer surface of the frames with a cloth or sponge, thereby freshening the paint and cleaning the pores of the wood.
Certifications and Guarantees
All DAUWIN® products are certified by TÜV (ISO 9001:2001) and CE certificate.
In addition, all the products, frames, accessories and mechanisms of the company are accompanied by a 10-year written warranty for any manufacturing defect and distortion.
Wooden Main Entrance Doors
The exterior wooden doors of DAUWIN® are available in a variety of designs and colors and feature all these characteristics that place them among the best options of their type. Adjustable, heavy duty hinges, locks, aluminum sill with thermal insulation and waterproofing and many more features, which may vary depending on the type of door, ensure a perfect result of a high standard.
Profiles of Wooden Frames
The profiles of DAUWIN® wooden frames are characterized by:
- Double and triple energy glass panes (glazing) with additional gas (ARGON) for excellent thermal (K = 1.0W/m2K) and sound insulation (Rw = 32dB)
- Anti-adhesive profile laminated in 3 layers in all wood types. Available in three series - Windows Line No. 68, Windows Line No. 78, Windows Line No. 92.
- Absolute sealing with two rubbers around the leaf and three rubbers in the intersection points.
- Certified by CE and TÜV certification body (ISO 9001:2001).
Safety Mechanisms and Security by ROTO
The proper function of the frame ensures stability, security, durability and good use. The mechanisms of the frames are the components that determine to a maximum extent their proper use and function, so they should be selected based on strict quality criteria. The safety mechanisms of DAUWIN®, which come from ROTO NT, the German construction firm, are mounted circumferentially with a mushroom type safety stopper and are ranked among the top choices in the international market. The reclining arm prevents any wrong moves on the handle, while it operates as a straightening device leading the sheet to its proper position, thus preventing the so called “hanging”, i.e. its disadjustment.
Wood Qualities & Colors of Wooden Frames
DAUWIN® imports wooden frames made out of four different types of wood: Pine, Meranti, Oak and Eucalyptus. In addition to the selection of good quality timber, the wooden frames of the company are anti-adhesive and laminated in 3 layers (three pieces of wood glued opposite to each other), thereby ensuring their resistance to any kind of alterations.
Environmentally Friendly Colors
SIGMA colors chosen by DAUWIN® are exclusively ecological, water-soluble, and are applied by the method of impregnation and waxing, allowing for the timber to “breathe”, thereby protecting it from any moisture and fungi. In addition to their particular, protective characteristics, SIGMA colors are available in a variety of colors responding to every aesthetic need, and in RAL colors, which make it possible to diversify between two colors – having a different color on the exterior of the frame than on the interior.
